🎉 WE HAVE WINNERS!
Happy World Teachers’ Day, Frederick County! This morning, we drew the 10 winners of our 2026 Teacher Appreciation Giveaway. Each winning teacher will receive a $250 Zillions gift card, redeemable for a gift card to a participating retailer of their choice.
Throughout September, we received hundreds of nominations celebrating teachers at more than 40 schools across the county. Winners were drawn at random, and every nominated teacher had the same chance of winning—whether they received one nomination or 46. And yes, one teacher really was nominated 46 times!
Your nominations showed just how much our local teachers do. You told us about their patience and kindness, the extra time they spend answering questions and keeping parents informed, and the classroom supplies they buy out of their own pockets. You celebrated teachers who make children feel safe, seen, and happy to be at school.
From Dr. Coy, Dr. Robison, and the whole team at Robison Orthodontics: thank you to every Frederick County teacher for the difference you make, and to everyone who took the time to recognize them.
Let’s keep that appreciation going: thank a teacher today! Whether it’s your child’s teacher, someone who taught you years ago, or a teacher in your family, a short message can mean so much.
Congratulations to our 10 winners! Keep an eye on your inbox for your congratulations email. 📬
