One-Year Follow-Up | Veneers #7–10

A one-year follow-up provides an opportunity to evaluate more than esthetics. It allows us to assess the health of the surrounding tissues, contours, emergence profiles, and overall integration of the restorations.

At one year, these veneers continue to demonstrate healthy gingival tissues, stable contours, and a natural integration with the surrounding dentition.

Our goal with anterior prosthodontics is not simply to create a beautiful result on the day of delivery, but to create restorations that remain harmonious with the patient’s smile and supporting tissues over time.

One year later, we’re very pleased with the result.

This patient came to our office after years of frustration with a chipped front tooth and multiple composite repairs. Despite several attempts, she was never fully satisfied with the color, shape, or overall appearance, and the composite had to be replaced repeatedly.

For this case, we chose a more definitive approach: a single porcelain veneer on #8, carefully designed to restore the tooth while blending naturally with her surrounding dentition.

The goal wasn’t to make the tooth look “perfect.” It was to make it look like her natural tooth.

A conservative treatment can still make a meaningful difference when color, shape, proportion, and function are all considered together.

At Miller Prosthodontics, we still believe there is tremendous value in the conventional denture workflow.

For this case, we used individual denture teeth and acrylic and went through the traditional steps with our laboratory. America's Dental Lab

Why?

Individual teeth give us the ability to control the details like tooth position, embrasures, contours, papillae, and gingival characterization.

Sometimes, taking the extra steps is what makes the difference.
