Special Olympics Special Smiles 🦷💙. Giving Smiles, Sharing Care!
This weekend, our Michigan Chapter proudly volunteered with Special Smiles®, a part of the Healthy Athletes program from the Special Olympics.

Special Smiles® makes a lasting difference — creating awareness and improving access to dental care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

We are honored to be part of this inspiring mission, spreading smiles one athlete at a time! 🩵😁

🌟 The Michigan Chapter of the Hispanic Dental Association is proud to have participated in the HDA Annual Meeting this past September 18–20! 🦷💙

These three days were filled with learning, collaboration, and inspiration as we joined colleagues from across the nation in advancing oral health and celebrating the strength of our community.

We are grateful to the organizers, speakers, and partners who made this gathering possible, and we are excited to bring back this knowledge and energy to continue serving to our community. 🙌

Food Pantry Volunteering – Frankfort, Indiana | August 26th
We had an amazing time volunteering together with Riggs Community Health Center! 💪❤️ It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with the community, share our mission as the Hispanic Dental Association, and engage with over 130 families. We loved having the chance to converse, educate, and share resources with them.
Grateful to give back and make a difference! 🙌🦷

On May 6, we had the honor of representing the Hispanic Dental Association Michigan Chapter during the Riggs Community Health Center Food Pantry in Frankfort, Indiana.

Starting bright and early volunteers helped line up cars and welcome neighbors. I had the opportunity to join as a dental volunteer, sharing oral health education and distributing dental care kits to families, while also spreading awareness about the mission of the Hispanic Dental Association.

Throughout the morning, we were joined by Riggs employees, community volunteers, and the dedicated Riggs Mentor Cohort team. Together, we registered neighbors, distributed food, and connected with more than 120 families in need.

We’re grateful for the support of Colgate and Henry Schein for helping make this event possible with generous donations of dental supplies.

Service, smiles, and community — we are proud to be a part of this impactful initiative!

This past Saturday, April 26th, 2025, we celebrated Give Kids A Smile Day at the Consulate of Mexico in Detroit!

Through our free Dental Education Program, families learned about oral health, received valuable resources, and connected with our dedicated team and the community.

A huge thank you to all the amazing volunteers who gave their time, energy, and expertise to make this event possible! Your support truly made a difference for so many families💪🎉🦷🪥
