Atualizacao importante para pacientes do MassHealth

A partir de julho, o estado esta propondo um limite anual de $1000 para tratamento odontologico de adultos pelo MassHealth.

Atualmente, nao existe um limite anual em dinheiro, apenas algumas limitacoes. Com essa proposta, os $1000 teriam que cobrir todo o tratamento dentario do ano inteiro. Para muitos pacientes, esse valor pode nao cobrir nem uma unica coroa ou alguns procedimentos necessarios.

Um dentista de Massachusetts explicou em uma entrevista recente que isso pode forcar pacientes a “escolher um dente ao inves de outro” em vez de receber o tratamento completo.

Na Mova Dental, vemos todos os dias como essa cobertura e importante para a nossa comunidade. Limitar os beneficios pode levar a mais dor, mais emergencias e custos maiores no longo prazo.

Important update for MassHealth patients

Starting in July, the State is proposing a $1,000 annual cap on adult MassHeath dental treatment.

Right now, there is no yearly dollar cap—only certain limitations. Under this proposal, $1,000 would have to cover all dental care for the entire year. For many patients, that may not even cover a single crown or a few necessary procedures.

A Massachusetts dentist in a recent news interview explained this could force patients to “choose one tooth over another” instead of receiving complete care.

At Mova Dental, we see every day how important this coverage is for our community. Limiting benefits could lead to more pain, more emergencies, and higher long-term costs.
