Not for the faint of heart 💔

Expanders are an amazing tool - growing jaws, promoting better breathing, preventing future problems, all the great things 🦷

But I’ll admit it, they are another job for parents.

Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to deter you from having your child(ren), or yourself, get them but it’s a commitment.

Yes, turning on a schedule is a task but the oral hygiene maintenance is on another level and I don’t think parents realize it.

Just letting your kid brush and floss on their own won’t cut it❌

Parents/caregivers won’t like it but if you don’t water pick, floss AND use an electric toothbrush on those things, at least at night, it will get disgusting 🤢

Kids, of any age, cannot and should not clean them themselves, and just brushing alone isn’t enough.

Expanders are an investment that needs attention or else their mouth is going to get gross😷

Dentists and parents might get mad but that’s my two cents from first hand experience with patients and my own kids - Invest in your investment🤷🏻‍♀️
