A fuller, more balanced smile can make a dramatic difference.

With orthodontic treatment, we improved the alignment and created a fuller smile. After the teeth were positioned properly, minor adjustments to the edges helped transform chipped and uneven teeth into beautifully shaped, natural-looking teeth.

Sometimes, the most beautiful result comes from working with what you already have.

No restorations. Natural beauty. Beautiful smile. 🐝

AI Can Plan. But Can AI See the Whole Patient?

AI is changing orthodontics and it can be an incredible tool, but there’s a problem when treatment becomes AI only.

Orthodontic treatment isn’t just about moving teeth on a screen. A good treatment plan considers the patient’s bite, jaw relationships, facial growth, function, airway, bone and gums, dental history, and individual goals.

AI can analyze data and suggest tooth movements, but it doesn’t replace an orthodontist’s clinical judgment.

At The OrthoBee, we use technology to help us plan more precisely. Every treatment plan is reviewed and customized by Dr. Bui because your smile is more than a computer simulation.

Technology should make orthodontics better, not make the orthodontist disappear. 🐝

Sometimes teeth can look smaller than they really are when there are spaces, uneven alignment, and an irregular gum line.

By closing the spaces and properly aligning the teeth, and creating a harmonious gumline, we were able to create better proportions and balance. The teeth didn't need restorations to be made bigger. Once everything was positioned correctly, they simply looked bigger, more proportionate, and more harmonious.
A beautiful smile is all about balance.

✨ Small teeth no more. Just a big smile.

Thinking about orthodontic treatment but worried you may need teeth removed? 🦷

Extractions can sound scary, especially when you see conflicting information online. But the decision should never be based on a one size fits all rule.

Every patient is different. Your orthodontist should evaluate your facial profile, jaw structure, tooth size, crowding, bite, symmetry, and long term stability before recommending extraction or choosing a non extraction approach.

The goal isn’t simply to “make the teeth straight.” It’s to create a healthy, functional, balanced smile that fits you.

If you’ve been told you need extractions and aren’t sure why, ask questions. Understanding the reason behind your treatment plan can help you feel confident in your decision. 💛🐝

A crossbite is more than just a cosmetic concern.

In this case, we corrected an anterior crossbite without removing any teeth. Correcting a crossbite early can help prevent uneven wear on the teeth and eliminate a functional shift in the bite.

This is especially important in a growing child. When the bite does not come together properly, the jaw may adapt by shifting into a more comfortable position. Over time, this can lead to compensations and habits that may make the bite more difficult to correct later.

Early evaluation allows us to identify these issues while a child is still growing and guide the teeth and bite into a healthier, more stable position.

The goal isn't just a straighter smile. It's a bite that functions the way it should. 🐝

Two orthodontists. Two treatment plans. So… who’s right? 🤔

If you’ve gotten different recommendations for your child’s orthodontic treatment, you’re not alone. And it doesn’t necessarily mean one orthodontist is wrong.

Orthodontic treatment is not one size fits all. Different doctors may have different approaches based on your child’s growth, bite, facial balance, crowding, and long term goals.

Before choosing a treatment plan, ask:

🦷 What problem are we trying to correct?

🦷 Why is this particular approach being recommended?

🦷 What are the alternatives?

🦷 How will this affect the bite, facial balance, and long term stability?

🦷 What happens if we choose not to treat or wait?

The best treatment plan isn’t necessarily the most complicated or the one that promises the fastest result. It’s the one that makes sense for your individual needs and goals.

At The OrthoBee, Dr. Bui believes you deserve to understand the why behind your treatment, not just be told what to do.

💛 Have you ever received two completely different orthodontic recommendations? A second opinion can help you feel confident in your decision.

Why were extractions necessary in this case?

This patient had several bite problems that needed to be addressed, including severe crowding, a blocked-out canine, significant asymmetry, and an anterior open bite.

When teeth are severely crowded, there may not be enough room to properly position important teeth like the canines. In this case, creating space allowed the blocked-out canine to be brought into a healthier position and helped us correct the asymmetry and improve the overall bite.

The anterior open bite was also an important part of the treatment. When the front teeth don't come together properly, the back teeth can take on more of the work and experience increased wear. An open bite can also affect speech because the front teeth are not able to provide a proper seal for certain sounds.

The goal was not simply to straighten the teeth. It was to create a more balanced bite where the teeth can come together properly, function efficiently, and stay healthier over time.

Every orthodontic case is different. Sometimes creating space with extractions is an important part of achieving a stable, functional result.

Why would an orthodontist remove healthy teeth?

It may seem strange to remove teeth that are healthy, but sometimes it is the best way to create the space needed to properly position the remaining teeth, especially the canines.
Canines are important for more than just your smile. They help guide your bite, protect the other teeth, and play an important role in how your teeth function together.

The goal of orthodontic treatment is not simply to straighten teeth. It is to create a balanced bite where the teeth are positioned to function properly and stay healthy for years to come.
A great smile should look good, but it should also work well.

Your smile is not a “click of a button.” 👀
Yes, technology plays an important role in modern orthodontics. But creating a truly beautiful, balanced smile takes much more than a computer-generated treatment plan.
At The OrthoBee, Dr. Bui personally crafts each treatment plan with careful attention to your facial esthetics, tooth position, bite, and function. 🦷✨
Because straight teeth are only part of the picture.
The goal? A smile that looks beautiful, feels comfortable, and functions the way it should.
Technology helps. Expertise makes the difference. 🐝💛
