Here’s a delicious brace friendly dinner recipe!

🍗 Creamy Chicken & Rice Skillet
Ingredients
1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast or thighs
1 cup white rice
2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
1 cup frozen peas and carrots
½ cup cream cheese, softened
½ cup shredded mozzarella
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp olive oil
Directions
Cut the chicken into very small pieces.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet. Cook chicken with garlic powder and Italian seasoning until fully cooked.
Add rice and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer about 15–18 minutes, until the rice is very soft.
Stir in the frozen vegetables and cook another 3–4 minutes.
Turn heat to low and mix in cream cheese and mozzarella until creamy.
Add a little extra broth or milk if you want it softer and easier to eat.
Braces tip: Let it cool slightly and make sure the chicken and vegetables are very tender. Avoid crunchy toppings, nuts, hard vegetables, or anything sticky.
Easy swap: Use rotisserie chicken shredded very finely instead of cooking raw chicken.

Braces-Friendly Frozen Lemonade 🍋

Ingredients
1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
½ cup sugar or honey
1 cup cold water
2–3 cups crushed ice
Optional: ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt or vanilla yogurt for a creamier texture
Directions
Stir the lemon juice, sugar, and water until the sugar dissolves.
Add the mixture to a blender with the crushed ice.
Blend until completely smooth, with no large ice pieces remaining.
If you'd like it creamier, blend in the yogurt for 10–15 seconds.
Serve immediately with a straw to minimize contact with your braces.
Braces-Friendly Tips
Blend thoroughly so there are no crunchy ice chunks.
Avoid chewing the ice.
Skip hard garnishes like candied lemon peel.
Rinse your mouth with water afterward if the lemonade is sweet, since sugary, acidic drinks can increase the risk of plaque buildup around braces.

Brace Place Fact of the Day!

Braces do more than straighten teeth. They can improve bite alignment, chewing, speech, and make teeth easier to clean.

Brace Place Fun Fact of the Day!

The word “orthodontics” comes from Greek—“ortho” meaning straight and “odons” meaning tooth. So orthodontists are literally “straight-tooth specialists.”
