Tooth #7 presented with pulpal necrosis, chronic apical abscess, and a primary periodontal lesion with secondary endodontic involvement. 🦷
Treatment sequencing was key: endodontic therapy was completed first to eliminate the endodontic source of infection, followed by periodontal surgery to address the remaining periodontal defect.
Obturation revealed beautifully captured lateral canals — a reminder of the complexity of the root canal system and the importance of thorough disinfection and sealing. ✨
At the 5-year follow-up, complete radiographic and clinical healing was observed, demonstrating the power of interdisciplinary treatment planning and long-term maintenance. 🙌
