Timber Falls Family Dentistry is seeking a full-time expanded function dental assistant, EFDA, for 4 days per week. Timber Falls is an up-and-coming practice with two young dentists looking for a team member that is eager to learn and grow in the field. We are interested in someone that is hard working, honest, personable, patient-oriented, a team-player, and strives for excellence.
Experience in all fields of dentistry is desired but not required. We are open to training someone that may not have all the skills but is a good fit for the practice. This practice has a very low turnover. Therefore, we are looking for someone that works well with the team and has a goal of staying on long-term.
The office is open Monday through Thursday, 8am-5pm with a 1-hr lunch from 12-1pm.
Responsibilities:
Assist the dentist during all procedures: including restorative, endo, and oral surgery
Place direct restorations and ortho brackets as allowed by Indiana law
Take accurate impressions, pour models, and fabricate temporary crowns
Provide patient education in post-op care
Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked operatories
Sterilize instruments and ensure OSHA and infection control compliance
Help ensure an efficient patient flow and positive office culture
Requirements:
Current Indiana Dental Radiography and EFDA certification required
CPR certification
Minimum 1 year of dental assisting experience preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Friendly, compassionate, and professional demeanor
