🎃🍬 NOT ALL HALLOWEEN CANDY IS CREATED EQUAL! 🦷

Halloween is almost here, and we know those candy buckets are about to be FULL! 👻

But did you know some treats are a little trickier on your child's teeth than others?

🍭 STICKY CANDY: Gummies and caramel love to hang around on teeth!

🍬 HARD CANDY: Sucking on hard candy exposes teeth to sugar longer, and biting down can lead to chipped teeth.

🍋 SOUR CANDY: That sour kick comes with acids that can wear down tooth enamel.

🍫 PLAIN CHOCOLATE: A sweeter choice for your smile! It generally washes away more easily than sticky candy. Just remember to keep portions small!

At Little Big Smiles Pediatric Dentistry, we believe Halloween should be full of fun, not fear! 🧡

🎃 PARENTS: What's the first candy your kids grab out of their Halloween buckets? Tell us below! 👇

🎃🍫 HALLOWEEN CANDY QUIZ! 🍬🦷

Alright, parents and kiddos… let's see who knows their candy! 👀

Which Halloween treat is LESS likely to stick to your teeth?

🍫 A. Plain Chocolate

🍬 B. Sticky Caramel

🐻 C. Gummy Candy

And the answer is… A! 🎉

Plain chocolate generally washes away easier than sticky caramel or gummy candy. But remember, even chocolate has sugar, so moderation is key!

👻 Now tell us… who got it right in your house? The kids or the grown-ups?😂👇

🎃 **Halloween Treats & Healthy Smiles!** 🦷

Halloween candy is part of the fun, but a little planning can help protect your child's smile!

At Little Big Smiles Pediatric Dentistry in Fort Myers, we recommend three simple tips:

🍬 **Choose a treat time:** Enjoy candy with or right after a meal instead of snacking throughout the day.

🎃 **Put the candy away:** Let your child choose a favorite treat, then save the rest for another time.

🪥 **Keep brushing:** Brush twice daily with fluoride toothpaste to help prevent cavities.

Halloween should be full of fun, not worries about cavities!
