White teeth can still have cavities. Straight teeth can still have gum issues. And no pain does not always mean no problem, because decay and gum disease are often painless in their early stages, which is exactly when they're easiest to treat.

A healthy smile is about gums, enamel, bite, breath, function, comfort, and confidence. Appearance is one part of that, not the whole picture.
