Happy 5 years to our girl Krystal! 🥳🦷
As a Treatment Coordinator at our Downtown Fort Lauderdale location, Krystal is an essential part of the JJ Dental team.
Pictured alongside Dr. Luke and Dr. Dunn, Krystal plays such an important role in our patients’ experience, helping guide them through their treatment, answering questions, coordinating their care, and making sure they feel supported every step of the way.
Thank you, Krystal, for five years of dedication to our patients and our team. We’re so lucky to have you! ❤️

“I want to look like me — just with a naturally enhanced smile.”
For this smile transformation, we recontoured the gums with laser therapy and replaced old bonding restorations and crowns with a combination of porcelain veneers and crowns for a balanced, natural result that still feels authentically her.

This patient was interested in revitalizing her smile. She felt like they had “aged” over the years. What she was most interested in doing was whitening the teeth, broadening them and improving the shape. Essentially all the teeth from behind her canines were too “obscured” or not “prominent” enough. We were able to broaden those teeth so that they displayed more within her smile. She had also worn down her teeth from years of grinding. So we restored the contours to her natural teeth. Lastly, we whitened them to make them brighter and more vibrant.

This patient came to us after his veneers kept falling out and he wasn’t happy with the shape or the exposed roots. The issue wasn’t just with the porcelain… it was the bite.

We completed a full-mouth rehabilitation of all 28 teeth to raise his bite, improve tooth display, and create a stable foundation so his new veneers can truly last!
Transforming not just his smile, but his function. Smile makeover by Dr. Dunn @ our Downtown Fort Lauderdale location.

19 crowns, 2 implant crowns, and one 3 unit bridge to complete this smile makeover. Our patient had a habit of severe grinding and a history of several crowns that had been done by different dentists at different times to try to restore the broken or cracked teeth. The patient had worn down her remaining natural teeth too much to allow enough room to restore everything properly so we had to treat every tooth in order to open up her bite to be able to build the smile and function properly. It is with the heaviest of hearts I have to announce that one of our beloved office mascots, Mabel, has passed away. We dread this day as pet owners and, for her, it came sooner than expected, but the immeasurable joy of being with her for 9 years made it all worthwhile.

There was never a person that she wasn’t immediately ecstatic to meet. There were no strangers, only new best friends. She made it easier for countless people to come to the dentist and, for some, was the only reason that they came (no offense taken).

To all of my friends, family, and patients who stopped on their way in or on the way out of the office to give her treats, scratches, or belly rubs thank you. You helped shape her into the infectiously happy, trusting, and sweet dog that she was.

To my little girl - you would have lived forever if love alone could have saved you.

Eternally grateful,

Dr John AKA Mabel’s Dad

Hard not to love the attention to detail here. This patient wanted to brighten his smile and correct any mild misalignments and mild wear and tear that had become visible. We accomplished this with 20 stunning porcelain veneers. Smile makeover by Dr. Cook 👨‍🍳

This patient presented to us with old worn down, crowded, and yellow teeth. She wanted to generally brighten her smile and make it look more uniform as she had some teeth that had bondings on them and others that had old crowns on them. As a bonus she was hoping to straighten a lot of them but understood if we wouldn’t be able to fully.

To address all her complaints we did 6 veneers and 2 crowns on the top, and 6 veneers on the bottom to achieve a much more youthful and well-balanced smile.😃 Smile makeover by Dr. Cook @ our Lauderdale by the Sea location.

“Enhancing a smile involves properly understanding the root cause of oral health issues and smile deficiencies in order to design a facially-driven natural smile tailored to each patient. Here, we raised the bite to enhance the lower third of her face and contoured the gums to provide her smile more balance and lip support.
