✨ Meet Dr. Mitchell Akrie, DDS! ✨

We’re thrilled to officially welcome Dr. Akrie to the Owens Dental family! He joined our team in June 2025, and both our patients and team can’t stop raving about his compassionate care, calm demeanor, and dedication to providing excellent dental care.

Born and raised in Centennial, CO, Dr. Akrie earned his DDS Cum Laude from Creighton University and brings a strong background in comprehensive general dentistry—from preventive care to cosmetic treatments. He’s passionate about patient-centered care, making every visit comfortable and personalized.

In his free time, Dr. Akrie likes to hike, play golf, spend time with family and friends, and cheer on all Colorado professional sports teams! He is looking forward to calling the Fort Collins community home.

Outside of private practice, Dr. Akrie spends his time volunteering at community outreach programs such as the Colorado Mission of Mercy.

We just opened a wonderful new dental practice in Berthoud, Colorado (Owens Dental Berthoud) and are looking to add a dental hygienist to our team. It is a start up private practice (non-corporate) which focuses on quality care and building lasting relationships with the community.
