Goings Orthodontics: Fort Collins & Windsor Orthodontist Change a smile. Change a life. Braces & Invisalign
Top 1% Diamond Invisalign Provider. www.goingsorthodontics.com Here is a little bit about Doctor Goings.

We are a friendly local Northern Colorado Orthodontist practice that is located in Fort Collins & Windsor, CO. People choose Goings Orthodontics not just because we have built friendships with patients, but because of our high quality service. There is nothing better than seeing lives changed because of their smile. I am a board certified orthodontist in Fort Collins, CO who specializes in providi

ng orthodontic treatment for all ages. I opened Goings Orthodontics in June 2007 with my wife, Kathryn. Together we have built our practice from the ground up into what it is today. I wanted to create a place where people feel comfortable, welcome, and receive excellent patient care. I also wanted to ensure that I have the latest technology and advancements to serve my patients. I grew up on a farm and ranch in western Nebraska, and spent many summers visiting the northern Colorado area. After graduating from Chadron State College in northwestern Nebraska, I earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with high distinction from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln in 1999. I then served in the U.S. Air Force as a general dentist for five years and was stationed in England, just outside of Oxford. I was one of two dentists for the military members and their families and provided a variety of services (cleanings, extractions, root canals, wisdom teeth surgeries, etc). While there I developed and directed the children's dental education program, as well. Prior to becoming a dentist, I was very interested in becoming an orthodontist. I had orthodontics when I was younger. Unfortunately, my parents did not get me to an orthodontist early enough. I went when I was 12 or 13 and had 2 impacted canines (means the teeth are stuck in the bone) and had to have a surgery to get them to come in the mouth correctly. I also had an expander and full braces. When I was 18, I had jaw surgery to correct my underbite. I have been through the whole range of treatment with orthodontics. When everything was finished, my face, jaw, and smile were completely transformed. I felt amazing. I wanted to have the ability to make others feel howI felt. That is when I began looking into what I could do to become an orthodontist. I graduated from the University of Colorado orthodontic program in 2006. I always knew I would move to Northern Colorado and decided to build my practice here. Kathryn and I have created a place that we feel is our second home. We want our patients to feel comfortable and welcome they come through our doors and while they are in treatment. Kathryn and I enjoy working together but when we have spare time we like to spend it with our children - boy/girl twins. We enjoy traveling, hiking, cooking, and being with family. I am a big fan of the Cornhuskers and try to attend a few games a year. I am constantly learning new things about teeth, orthodontics, and how I can better care for my patients. I regularly attend Continuing Education courses on orthodontics, the Damon System, and Invisalign. Memberships:

✨ A great team doesn’t happen by accident. ✨

We spend a lot of time together, and we’re grateful that we get to do it in an environment filled with positivity, laughter, encouragement, and people who genuinely care about one another. 🥰

The GO Team works hard every day to create amazing smiles, but what makes this place special is the culture we’ve built together. We celebrate wins, support each other through challenges, and always find reasons to laugh along the way. 😄

A positive workplace doesn’t just make work more enjoyable—it helps us provide the best possible experience for every patient who walks through our doors.

❤️🎉 Say hello to another GO Kids Club member — Kai! 🎉❤️

We’re so excited to welcome Kai to the GO Kids Club! 😁🦷

Did you know the American Association of Orthodontists recommends that children have their first orthodontic evaluation around age 7? That doesn’t mean your child will need braces right away, but it gives us the opportunity to monitor growth and catch potential concerns early.

Some things we look for include:
✨ Crowded or missing teeth
✨ Crossbites or underbites
✨ Jaw growth and development concerns
✨ Teeth that are erupting in the wrong position
✨ Habits like thumb sucking that may affect the bite
✨ Airway and breathing concerns

Many children simply become GO Kids Club members, allowing us to monitor their growth and development until the timing is right for treatment—if treatment is needed at all!

Welcome to the club, Kai! We can’t wait to watch your smile grow. 😁

🇺🇸 Memorial Day is More Than a Long Weekend 🇺🇸

One of Dr. Goings’ most meaningful Memorial Day memories was a family trip to our nation’s capital last year. Walking through the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Korean War Veterans Memorial, and World War II Memorial was a powerful reminder of the courage, sacrifice, and service of so many Americans.

Their visit to Arlington National Cemetery left a lasting impression as they reflected on the men and women who gave their lives defending our freedoms.

Today, we remember that Memorial Day is not just about a day off—it is about honoring heroes, cherishing our freedoms, and expressing gratitude to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

❤️🤍💙 We remember. We honor. We are grateful. ❤️🤍💙

🇺🇸 Memorial Day Murph Challenge 🇺🇸

Every Memorial Day, Dr. Goings takes on the Murph Challenge—a grueling workout completed in honor of those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Named after Lieutenant Michael P. Murphy, a Navy SEAL and Medal of Honor recipient who was killed in Afghanistan in 2005, the Murph consists of:
🏃 1-mile run
💪 100 pull-ups
💪 200 push-ups
💪 300 squats
🏃 1-mile run

For Dr. Goings, this challenge is more than just a workout. As a former Air Force dentist, Memorial Day is a time to reflect, remember, and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation.

Congratulations, Dr. Goings, on another Murph completed! 🇺🇸 We are grateful for your dedication, perseverance, and commitment to remembering the true meaning of Memorial Day.

🇺🇸💙❤️
