We see dental trauma often; chipped teeth, fractured teeth, and injuries to teeth that are visible in the mouth. But this case was something we had never personally encountered before.

This young patient fell and hit concrete, causing a fracture to a permanent tooth that had not even erupted yet.

It is a powerful reminder that even when a permanent tooth has not made its appearance, it is still vulnerable to injury.

Every dental trauma case tells a different story, and this one was truly unique. We will continue to monitor this tooth closely as it develops and erupts. 💙

Happy Monday!

Dr. Pearose’s daughter brought her cute pup Winnie to her dental checkup, and our little furry friend took the job of “supervisor” very seriously. She watched every move with so much curiosity and kept a close eye on the entire visit. Safe to say, we earned her approval! 🦷🐾
