Overlay Crown aka Crown-lay: from the top it looks like a crown, from the sides it's an onlay. This is made from a high strength glass (GC Initial Lisi) that will wear more gently against her opposing teeth. This enamel bonded biomimetic style is how we do most of the crowns at our office. The higher finish lines make it easier to scan, easier to mill, easier to clean, and easier to retreat if ever needed. Would you rather have the crown last longer or the tooth last longer?
