Today, we’re sharing Sarah’s story as she courageously fights breast cancer. As a parent in our Twohig family, we want to help spread the word and show her and her family some extra love and support. 🫶
On October 17th, Sarah will be honored as the featured participant at the 12th Annual Kickin’ for Kevin Fundraising Event. Please take a moment to read Sarah’s story and check out the event details.

We are honored to share our featured recipient for our 12th Annual Event. (October 17th)

Please read Sarah’s story below:
In January of 2026, at the age of 36, Sarah Schanke was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. Sarah continued to teach 7th and 8th grade English at the Junior Senior High in Waupun throughout her 6 chemotherapy treatments and spent her summer undergoing surgery and receiving 21 radiation treatments while still being present for her 9 year old daughter. Due to the specific type of breast cancer she has, she'll continue to receive immunotherapy treatments every three weeks for a year with further surgeries, years of endocrine therapy, and follow up appointments. Cancer has changed their story, but she refuses to let it be her final chapter.
In addition to our featured recipient, funds will also benefit Waupun Youth Baseball, Waupun High School Baseball and Waupun Legion Softball.
