💜September gives us two pretty great reasons to celebrate.💙

First, it’s National Gum Care Month: a reminder that a healthy smile starts with the foundation. Brushing, flossing, regular cleanings, and keeping an eye on changes in your gums all play a big role in protecting your smile (and health) for the long run.🦷

It’s also Office Manager Appreciation Month, and we’re giving some well-deserved recognition to the people who keep dental offices organized, schedules moving, teams supported, and about a hundred things happening behind the scenes every single day. 🙌

Here’s to healthy gums and the incredible people who help keep our offices smiling!🥳

A frenectomy is a procedure that removes or releases a tight band of tissue called a frenum. This tissue can be found under the tongue, inside the upper lip, or near the gums.

When a frenum is too tight, thick, or positioned in a way that limits movement, it may contribute to concerns such as:

🦷 A gap between the front teeth
🦷 Gum pulling or recession
🦷 Trouble moving the tongue comfortably
🦷 Speech or swallowing concerns
🦷 Difficulty with brushing or keeping certain areas clean
🦷 Discomfort from tissue pulling near the gums

In some cases, a frenectomy may be recommended to help improve function, protect gum health, or support other dental treatment such as orthodontics.

Not every frenum needs treatment, but if it is causing tension, discomfort, or affecting oral health, it may be worth having 🔎evaluated.

If you have questions about a lip-tie, tongue-tie, or tissue pulling near the gums, 📞🗓️schedule a consultation (916) 983-6637 to learn whether a frenectomy may be right for you. Learn more by visiting us online https://www.folsomdentalimplants.com/oral_surgery/frenectomy_information.

Cavity-free doesn’t mean care-free.
While a 🦷dental implant itself cannot get a cavity like a natural tooth, the gums and bone around it still need regular care. Plaque, inflammation, and untreated gum issues can still affect the health and 💪stability of an implant.

That’s why brushing, flossing, routine cleanings, and 🗓️regular checkups are still so important after implant treatment.

Whether you’re missing a single tooth, multiple teeth, or a full arch, dental implants can offer a solution designed around your needs.

🦷 Single Tooth Implants
Replace one missing tooth without relying on neighboring teeth for support.

🦷 Multiple Tooth Implants
Implants can support a bridge or replace several missing teeth, helping restore comfort, function, and confidence.

🦷 Full-Arch Dental Implants
For patients missing most or all of their teeth, a full-arch implant solution can provide a secure, stable alternative to traditional removable dentures.

Every smile is different and so is every treatment plan. The right solution starts with an evaluation of your oral health, goals, and individual needs. If you are missing teeth, give us a 📞call (916) 983-6637 and see what option is right for you! You can also learn more by visiting us ⌨️online www.folsomdentalimplants.com. A confident smile is just a phone call away!

Happy National Align Your Teeth Day!🦷🦷🦷

Straight teeth are not just about having a dazzling smile. Proper alignment can also support your overall oral health by making teeth easier to clean, helping reduce hard-to-reach plaque buildup, and supporting a more ⚖️balanced bite.

When teeth fit together properly, it can also help reduce uneven wear, jaw strain, and discomfort while chewing. Small alignment improvements can make a big difference in how your smile looks, feels, and functions every day.

😁When you have a healthy, properly aligned smile, everything else falls in to place.
