Well, what can I say? After 60 wonderful, 10 questionable and approximately 295 😳 days, we are leaving 2020 in our rear view mirror.

We have all grown so much in this challenging yet educational year. While this has definitely not always been easy, this experience is something we will never forget. While there are not enough carry-on bags to fit the baggage of this year, it was not all terrible.

For starters, we did a lot more cooking, gardening, board game playing and even tried our hand at making sourdough. We doom-scrolled the Internet and finally started that book, that movie, that project or Netflix series. We Zoomed through the year, together, but apart. We learned how to travel closer to home, celebrate our roots and supported our neighbors and local businesses in whole new way. The love and loyalty of the staff and our patients has been what brought new life to the practice after a almost 3 month shutdown.

It was good, bad, beautiful, and ugly. But we made it, and maybe most importantly, 2020 reminded us how resilient we are and to look for the good out there. While it may seem hard to imagine, it’s something we will carry on with us in a future endeavors.

So let’s celebrate a year of strength, perseverance, faith and the most wonderful silver lining of having more sweet moments with family! ♥️
Cheers to a new year of hope, healing and new possibilities!

With much love and gratitude,
Katie DeMeyer and the whole FFD team

Dear Folsom Family Dental Family:

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last several months. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety and well-being. After the recent announcement by Gov. Gavin Newsom on 12/3/2020 and his new stay at home order, we wanted to reassure you that our office, and the medical and dental sectors in general, have NOT been affected by the latest restrictions placed on indoor operations and we are continuing to see all of our patients for routine as well as emergency dental care per the guidelines of Cal OSHA, CDA and California Dept. of Health Services (CDPS).

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are designed such that when you receive care, it is both safe and comfortable. We continue to use medical grade sterilization procedures, disinfectants and hospital grade PPE at all times. Additionally, we will continue to follow the “best practices” recommendations for this COVID-19 era at all times.

Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We continue to monitor the guidance provided by these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued.

We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep both you and every other patient safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call our office at (916) 988-6684.
Thank you so much for your patience during this time. We appreciate your wonderful support and kind understanding, remaining hopeful that a happier, healthier future will be here soon. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming you back for your dental care.

Sincerely,
Katie DeMeyer DDS
and the whole Folsom Family Dental team.

Dear Folsom Family Dental Family:

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety. After the recent announcement by Gov.Gavin Newsom on 7/13/2020, we wanted to reassure you that our office, and the medical and dental sectors in general, have NOT been affected by the latest restrictions placed on indoor operations and we are continuing to see all of our patients for routine as well as emergent dental care per the guidelines of Cal OSHA and California Dept. of Health Services (CDPS).
Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are designed such that when you receive care, it is both safe and comfortable. We continue to use medical grade sterilization procedures, disinfectants and PPE at all times. Given the new risks posed by COVID-19, we want to tell you about the additional infection control procedures we have established in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.
You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We have made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:
• Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You will be asked those same questions again when you are in the office in addition to having your temperature taken prior to the start of your appointment.
• We have installed a UVC light and a photronic MERV 13 photocatalytic air purifier in our HVAC systems to kill any potential viruses, bacteria, or mold in the air stream in the office. Additionally, our waiting room and each of our operatories have been equipped with Medify MA-40 2.0 medical grade air purifiers.
• We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. You will also find some in the reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed.
• Masks will be worn by the staff and we ask that you wear a mask until it is time for your appointment. You have the option to wait in our regularly sanitized waiting room or in your car, please just let us know your preference.
• You may notice that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys, and so forth since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
• Appointments and office flow will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. This may mean that you are offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
• We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you as well as reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.

We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back for your dental care.

Sincerely,
Katie DeMeyer DDS
and the whole Folsom Family Dental team.
