New technology has entered Florham Park Dental! No need for gagging on gooey impressions anymore! We now have a digital scanner in the office! With this technology crowns fit PERFECTLY. Since it’s digital, we don’t have to worry about distortion and tearing of the impression material. As soon as we have completed the scanning, it is sent immediately to the dental lab where they will make a perfectly fitting crown. Please check out the videos below. The first video demonstrates scanning of the entire lower before we prepare the crowns. The second video shows how the teeth that will have the crowns are erased and we then scan the prepared teeth. Patient wasn’t happy with the shape and spaces between her teeth. She completed braces and these spaces couldn’t close. She was so self conscious of her smile, that she wanted to do porcelain veneers to give her the esthetic result she desired. Patient was very happy with the result.

Note:The teeth are not as dark as the photo on the bottom. It was a lighting issue.

Patient has lost multiple crowns which has affected his bite. Since none of his back teeth are touching,and for cosmetic reasons, the entire upper and lower arches were restored with porcelain crowns and his proper bite re-established. His first words after these were inserted were "Wow! I can finally smile again and have so much more confidence!" That why I say "Teeth are the ultimate accessory!"

Hello everyone! :) I hope everyone is having a great rest of their summer. Of course summer has flown by again and you know what that means. School is starting in 3 weeks for most of you.
