Over 25 years ago, Dr. Kitt and Amie put down roots in East Texas and started caring for this community one smile at a time. From his Navy days to today, Dr. Kitt has never stopped learning his craft. And Amie keeps everything (and everyone) running, probably while handling three other things at the same time.

Bleeding gums may be common, but they aren’t harmless.

Periodontitis is a chronic inflammatory disease that can destroy the bone and tissue holding your teeth in place. It can progress with very little pain, which means many patients don’t realize how serious it has become until their gums recede or their teeth begin to loosen.

The concern doesn’t necessarily end with tooth loss.

Diseased gum tissue can allow bacterial components and inflammatory signals to enter circulation. Periodontitis has a well-established two-way relationship with diabetes and has been associated with cardiovascular conditions including heart attack and stroke.
