Skyland Prosthetics is proud to honor the co-founder and matriarch of our company, Pippa, with a beautiful memorial bench and a new Dogwood sapling in a quiet yet visible area of Bill Moore Park in Fletcher, NC.

🌸 Pippa loved Dogwood trees and the beauty of nature, so it seemed only fitting that her son and owner of Skyland Prosthetics, Shaun Dolen, honor her memory in this special way.

🌞 We invite you to visit the bench, sit for a while, and simply take a breath. Watch your child play, read a book, work a crossword puzzle, or enjoy the peacefulness of nature.

🌿 May this be a place where others can pause, reflect, and enjoy the simple beauty of nature that Pippa loved so much.

📅After more than 18 months, today was a day to remember.

🚶🏻With the support of a custom Reciprocating Gait Orthosis (RGO), Ryland takes long awaited first steps since losing the use of both legs last year.

🤗Moments like these remind us that progress is measured one step at a time. We are honored to be part of Ryland's journey and look forward to every milestone ahead.

The Semiquincentennial is being commemorated nationwide this year, marking 250 years since the adoption of the Declaration of Independence. Some examples of the happings are:

⏰ A massive 900-pound historical time capsule containing paper documents and items was sealed and prepared for burial in Philadelphia, intended to be opened 250 years from now in 2276.

The Freedom 250 - National Archives celebration features morning ceremonies, historic interpreters reading the Declaration of Independence, and live performances. Go to https://www.archives.gov/freedom250 to what's up!
