Heidi, one of our dental assistants at Sand Hill Dental, has completed her Invisalign treatment and is now beginning the next step of her smile makeover!

Due to thinning enamel and excessive grinding, Heidi is having her six anterior teeth crowned. She currently has her temporary crowns, placed by Dr. Shojai, while her final restorations are being created.

In the second photo, Heidi is in Dr Shojai’s chair having her teeth digitally scanned.

Once Heidi receives her beautiful all-pressed porcelain crowns, we’ll be sure to share the final results of her smile makeover! 🦷✨

Some patients are born with enamel defects, meaning the protective outer layer of their teeth never fully develops. In this case, our patient had very little enamel on his first molars, leaving the tooth more vulnerable to wear and damage.

Now that he's a young adult, Dr. Shojai was able to preserve the tooth with a full-coverage porcelain crown, restoring its strength, function, and appearance.

Using our new iTero® digital scanner, Dr. Shojai captured a precise digital impression—eliminating the need for traditional impression materials. The scan is sent directly to our dental lab, allowing for a permanent custom crown with a turnaround time of less than two weeks.
