🦷🔎 MYTH BUSTERS: Do I need to wait until my child has all their adult teeth before seeing an orthodontist?

🚨 MYTH BUSTED! You don't have to wait!

The American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) recommends children have their first orthodontic evaluation by age 7! 🎉

Why so early? Even while baby teeth are still hanging around, an orthodontist can spot potential issues with jaw growth, bite alignment, and developing teeth before they become bigger problems.

✨ Early evaluations can help us:
💙 Catch potential issues before they progress
💙 Monitor jaw growth and tooth development
💙 Determine the best time to begin treatment
💙 Make future orthodontic treatment simpler and more effective when early intervention is needed

And don't worry! An early visit doesn't necessarily mean early braces. Sometimes, all your child needs is a little monitoring as they grow! 😊

📲 Is your little one turning 7? Schedule their first smile checkup with McLaughlin & Spendlove Orthodontics!

MYTH BUSTERS 🦷🏈

MYTH: My child can't play sports with braces.
FACT: BUSTED! 💥

Braces don't have to keep your child on the sidelines! Whether they're playing football, basketball, soccer, or another sport, they can still enjoy the activities they love.

🏆 The key? Protection! We recommend an orthodontic-friendly mouthguard designed to fit comfortably over braces and help protect their teeth, lips, and smile from injuries.
Keep playing hard and smiling big! 💙

📲 Have questions about protecting your child's smile during sports? Our team at McLaughlin & Spendlove Orthodontics is here to help!

When you BOTH need the doctor during bonding… suddenly it’s every tech for themselves. 😂🏃‍♀️💨

No coworkers were harmed in the race for the doctor… we think. 👀 Meanwhile, Doc is just trying to figure out what all the commotion is about. 😂🦷

Just another totally normal day at McLaughlin & Spendlove Orthodontics!
