**HIRING** PART-TIME DENTAL HYGIENIST
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in maintaining oral health, educating patients on proper dental hygiene practices, and supporting the overall efficiency of our dental practice. RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
* Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current oral health status.
* Assist with dental procedures by providing chairside support and ensuring patient comfort throughout treatments.
* Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to their needs.
* Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and office protocols.
* Operate dental equipment such as X-ray machines for medical imaging while adhering to safety standards.
* Follow strict infection control procedures using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination.
* Collaborate with dentists and other team members to ensure seamless patient care delivery within general dentistry practices.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Valid licensure as a Dental Hygienist in accordance with state or regional licensing boards.
* Proven experience working in a dental clinic or dental office environment.
* Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
* Familiarity with infection control standards, sterilization procedures, and aseptic techniques.
* Ability to perform chairside assisting duties efficiently within a four-handed dentistry setup.
*Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively and foster a welcoming environment.
