Dental Lab Office Assistant

Whatcom Dental Lab in Ferndale, WA is looking to add to our team. Our lab creates prosthetic crowns and bridges for doctors in Whatcom County, as well as shipping all over the country. We are looking for the right candidate who will be assisting in daily duties to maintain the efficient workflow in the lab.

Job description:
-Data entry
-Customer Service
-Case Management
-Shipping and Handling

This position is Monday - Thursday, 9am to 5pm* - $23/hr starting, negotiable DOE

These are requirements for the position:

-We are on the 2nd floor with no elevator
-Punctual/On-Time, reliable with a good work ethic
-Problem Solver, detail oriented, and organized
-Interpersonal skills - must be able to work well with a small team to maintain the quality of the product and service, as well as keep communication clear and able to take constructive criticism
-Currently authorized to work in the USA

Training will be provided, however these are qualifications of an ideal candidate:

-Dental background highly preferred, 2+ years in the field
-Able to work in high-energy environment, keep up with a fast-paced work atmosphere
-Excellent communication skills, in person, over the phone, and via email

Meet Anna!

Anna is a Washington local who is beginning her career in dental technology. She joined the WDL team in 2023 and is assisting in our CAD/CAM department.
Anna loves being in nature, working on her creative hobbies and playing with her cat!

Meet Molly!

Despite her best efforts trying to elude the lab life, Molly is now taking on the marketing and Human Resources for WDL. She is a Whatcom County local and a farm gal. She is also a labor and postpartum doula! Molly stays active by chasing after her wild toddler and two school aged kids. Molly is the wife of our owner Nate as well!

Jessica is our in-house bookkeeper! She has been assisting small businesses in our community since 2014. She is originally from Bellevue, WA but now resides in Ferndale on a hobby farm with her family! Jessica enjoys being outdoors with her husband and two children and loves to hunker down and read a good book!

Meet Ann!

Ann is the wife to our owner, Rick!
Meaning she’s the mother to our other owner, Nate! When we say WDL is a family run business, we mean it!
Ann does pickup and delivery for the Skagit County area and their dental offices. Before she was our pickup and delivery driver, she was a dental assistant for over 26 years!!
In her free time, Ann is found spoiling her 8 grandkids, teaching Sunday school and camping with friends!

Meet Brian!

Brian is our Milling and Printing department lead. Brian has put in the time and effort into becoming an expert in the materials and machines used here at the lab. Even though we use machines that give us the best results, it still takes extra time and attention to detail to ensure that each case is imputed and calibrated correctly. Brian’s eye for detail and knowledge of the systems produces a consistent, high quality outcome each time.

Brian is originally from Orange County, CA but has long since settled here in Whatcom County. In his free time, Brian can be found reading and playing video games!
