1. Beat the Heat & Drink Water – keep hydrated and keep your mouth moist to help your saliva wash away bacteria and food particles between brushing.
2. Eat healthy foods - try to avoid sugary foods that cause plaque buildup and lead to cavities and tooth decay. Satisfy your sweet cravings with delicious summer fruits like watermelon and peaches!
3. Avoid Chewing on Ice - crunching on ice could chip or break a tooth. Drink a cold glass of water to keep cool!
4. Stay on your oral health routine – Brush & Floss 2x day. If you haven’t replaced your toothbrush in a while, now is a great time to use a new, soft-bristled brush.
5. Keep your dental appointments or make yours before you get busy with back-to-school preparation.
