To prevent decay in baby teeth after your child's first tooth comes in,he or she should not be allowed to breastfeed constantly or fall asleep while breastfeeding!

Tooth decay can begin as soon as a baby's teeth come in. Untreated decay in baby teeth can lead to cavities and cause pain or infection. Please clean your child's teeth every day, two times a day. If your child uses a pacifier, do not dip it in sugar, honey or other foods.
