✨ Doctor Spotlight: Meet Dr. Meredith Smith Wiles! ✨

Dr. Smith-Wiles began her career with Village Family Dental in August of 2005. She is currently in our Fayetteville location, where she helps patients throughout the area with their dental needs.

Dr. Smith-Wiles is also involved with such local organizations as the Cape Fear Valley Friends of the Hospital Gala Committee. In her spare time, she enjoys tennis, spending time with her boys, watching their sports activities, and going to the lake.

👑🦷 **A royal first visit!** 🦷👑

Little Maria had her very first dental visit today at our **Eastover office with Dr. Reed!** She came dressed for the occasion in her princess crown and brought the sweetest smile with her. 💕✨

✨ Doctor Spotlight: Meet Dr. Brittany Burkhard! ✨

Dr. Brittany Burkhard was born in Fayetteville and spent most of her childhood about 25 minutes southeast in Tar Heel, NC.

After practicing in public health dentistry for a few years, Dr. Burkhard joined the Village Family Dental team in May 2020 at our St. Pauls location. She enjoys treating a wide spectrum of patients from children to adults and has a passion for providing high-quality dental care to patients in underserved, rural areas.

She currently resides in Eastover with her husband, daughter and two dogs.

✨ Doctor Spotlight: Meet Dr. LaColis Reed! ✨

Dr. LaColis Reed, III is a native of Peoria, Illinois. Dr. Reed has also been a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry since 2009.

When asked what he enjoys most about his job, Dr. Reed states:

“I enjoy having the ability to improve and maintain the oral health of my patients. I also receive an additional benefit from seeing my patients grow into upstanding individuals as they progress through life.”

Dr. Reed currently resides in the Raleigh area with his wife and two sons.

Meet Lexi, the owner of Three Legged Dog Coffee & Champion, her three-legged assistant and biggest supporter! She opened her coffee trailer in October 2025 after discovering her love for coffee while making it at home during graduate school in 2020. What started as a hobby quickly turned into a passion, and eventually, a small business dream!

Lexi decided to take the leap with a coffee trailer so she could bring her business wherever life takes her. Nearly a year later, she’s serving up delicious coffee around the Fayetteville area and beyond!

Last Friday, our Village Kids Fayetteville team traded in their scrubs for superhero capes! As true dental superheroes every day, dressing the part came pretty naturally to them! From fighting sugar bugs to keeping little smiles healthy, our team is always ready to save the day! 😎🪥

Dr. Michael is certified through the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), and the American Dental Association (ADA).

Dr. Michael is fluent in Spanish. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, the shore, photography, and spending time with her loved ones.
