Did you know not all mouth rinses are the same? 🦷

In fact, some rinses actually create an environment bacteria love! We asked our hygienist Casey to break it down, and she shared two things to watch for on the label: pH level and alcohol content.

A mouth rinse with a pH above 7 helps keep your mouth from becoming too acidic, since acidic environments are exactly where cavity causing bacteria thrive. And rinses with alcohol can dry out your mouth, which isn’t doing you any favors either.

Choosing the right rinse is a simple, everyday way to support your prevention routine and help avoid future dental issues down the road.
