Dr. Wilhelms received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from SUNY Stony Brook, as well as a minor in Health Sciences. She attended the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine and graduated 1988. She was awarded the International College of Dentistry Award for excellence in restorative dentistry. Dr. Wilhelms continued her education at Hartford Hospital, where she completed a residency

in general practice and maxillofacial trauma. Dr. Wilhelms served as a preceptor at UCONN Dental School from 1990-1992. She was a member of the medical staff at Hartford Hospital as an attending in the Department of Dentistry from 1996 – 2009.

You can purchase cooked beets or canned beets to make the process quicker. Definitely rinse the beets, or soak in fresh water for 5 minutes, if they’ve been in salt water.
