I would rather see kids enjoy a plain scoop of locally made ice cream (without sticky toppings) than snack on processed snack foods such as crackers, pretzels, Goldfish, and chips. Yes, ice cream is sweet, but it melts away. Starchy snacks stick to teeth and feed cavity-causing bacteria much longer.
