Northern Virginia Periodontics We support the foundation of your smile with a comprehensive range of periodontal services.

Dr. Gouldin, Dr. Carlos and Dr. Gohel are periodontists, that is, dentists who specialize in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal (gum) disease, as well as the treatment planning, placement, and maintenance of dental implants. Periodontists receive extensive training, including three additional years of education beyond dental school. Our office is in downtown Falls Church, and we have had the pleasure of serving Northern Virginia since 1995.

This patient presented with severe gum recession and significant sensitivity. Dr. Gohel performed a connective tissue graft using a minimally invasive lateral tunnel technique, and was able to beautifully restore healthy gum tissue and achieve excellent root coverage🦷.

Not only does treating gum recession improve the appearance of the smile, but it can also reduce sensitivity, protect exposed roots, and help preserve long-term oral health⏰.
