I truly have the BEST patients in the world… and today reminded me why 💛

One incredible mom took the time to create the most beautiful, heartfelt painting of me and her kids — something so thoughtful and personal that it honestly stopped me in my tracks. Of all the “badges of honor” in my career, this might be the most meaningful one yet. To be seen, appreciated, and celebrated in this way… it touched my heart more than I can even explain.

And as if that wasn’t enough, another sweet family surprised me with my favorite dessert — rice pudding — and even made a separate batch for my husband, remembering he doesn’t like rose water 🥹 The level of thoughtfulness just blows me away.

I’m not usually a sentimental person… but today? I was on the verge of tears twice.

To all my amazing patients and families — thank you for trusting me, supporting me, and going out of your way to show love. It means more than you know 🤍✨

⛷️ SLEDDING SEASON ALERT: Protect Those Smiles! ⛷️
See that grayish tooth? That’s what dental trauma from a sledding accident looks like. This brave kiddo learned firsthand why we always remind parents: winter fun can come with unexpected dental emergencies!
🦷 What happened?
A sledding collision caused trauma to the tooth, damaging the nerve inside. The gray color develops as the tooth tries to heal itself - it’s essentially a bruise on the inside of the tooth.
⚠️ Warning signs after a fall:
∙ Tooth changes color (gray, brown, yellow, or pink)
∙ Pain or sensitivity
∙ Looseness or displacement
∙ Chips or cracks
Action steps if your child has dental trauma:
1️⃣ Call us IMMEDIATELY - time matters!
2️⃣ Save any broken tooth fragments
3️⃣ Apply cold compress for swelling
4️⃣ Give age-appropriate pain relief if needed
Prevention tips:
✅ ALWAYS wear a helmet when sledding
✅ Choose safe hills away from obstacles
✅ Supervise young children closely
✅ Consider a mouthguard for extra protection
We’re monitoring this little warrior’s tooth closely and he’s doing great! But we’d rather prevent these injuries than treat them. Stay safe out there, families! ❄️
