June has become our unofficial birthday month here at FCIP, and this past week we had the pleasure of celebrating three very special team members: Patty, Jose, and Karen! 🎉

We say it time and time again, but we truly mean it…
our team is what makes this practice so special. They each bring their own unique talents, positivity, and dedication to our office every single day. When they’re here, our jobs are easier, our patients are happier, and our workplace is better because of it.

Today we had the privilege of welcoming my good friend and longtime colleague, Dr. Mia Geisinger, to speak at the Fairfield County Dental Club.

Her message was both powerful and timely.

The connection between oral health and systemic health is well documented, yet it’s still not consistently part of everyday care. The mouth is not separate from the body, and that distinction matters more than ever.

Periodontal disease is linked to conditions like diabetes, cardiovascular disease, dementia, and complications in women’s health. It also affects over 50% of the population in the United States.

That’s not just a dental issue. It’s a public health issue.

When we improve oral health, we create real opportunities to improve overall health and quality of life. This is where medicine and dentistry need to come together.

10 years of Jose!!

Today we’re celebrating a decade of dedication, creativity, and the unmistakable sparkle that Jose brings to our practice every single day.

As our IT and Creative Director, Jose has spent the last 10 years making everything around him run smoother, look better, and feel more joyful.

Our office truly wouldn’t be what it is today without his touch. As Taylor said it best, we’ve all become a little “lazy” because Jose is here… because somehow he always has everything handled and fixes all problems faster than we ever could.

If your office doesn’t have someone like Jose, it’s probably time to find one. Life (and work) is simply easier when someone like him is in it.
