We’re excited to kick off the 2026–2027 Fairfield County Dental Club season with our first full-day seminar featuring Dr. Joshua Austin on October 9, 2026.

His course, The Mental Dental Connection: The Secret to Being a Better Clinician and Leader, will bring real conversations, practical tools, humor, and strategies designed to help dental professionals take better care of themselves, their teams, and their patients.

June has become our unofficial birthday month here at FCIP, and this past week we had the pleasure of celebrating three very special team members: Patty, Jose, and Karen! 🎉

Today we had the privilege of welcoming my good friend and longtime colleague, Dr. Mia Geisinger, to speak at the Fairfield County Dental Club.

Her message was both powerful and timely.

The connection between oral health and systemic health is well documented, yet it’s still not consistently part of everyday care. The mouth is not separate from the body, and that distinction matters more than ever.

Periodontal disease is linked to conditions like diabetes, cardiovascular disease, dementia, and complications in women’s health. It also affects over 50% of the population in the United States.

That’s not just a dental issue. It’s a public health issue.

When we improve oral health, we create real opportunities to improve overall health and quality of life. This is where medicine and dentistry need to come together.
