Welcome! We are reopening Tuesday, June 9th, with additional safety measures.
We hope this message finds you and your family in good health! The corona virus has changed our world. The one thing that remains the same is our commitment to excellence and your safety.

We have consistently made the care you receive at Dr. Kathy McGrath’s both safe and comfortable. Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice, while following strict processes recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA), CDC and OSHA. We continually update our procedures as we receive new recommendations from these agencies.

* When we confirm your appointment, by text message, email or phone please be aware of any symptoms, such as an elevated temperature or dry cough. If you need to cancel, please provide us with 48 hour notice. This allows us to fill your time slot with another patient.

*We will be working with the concept of a "Virtual Waiting Room". Please call 703-978-6556 from your car when you arrive for your appointment. We will call your cell number when we are ready to have you come in. We ask that only the patient come into the office. Family members will be asked to stay in their cars.

*Upon entering the office please apply the hand sanitizer provided for you. We will take your temperature and ask you to complete a short questionnaire.

* Recall and follow-up appointments will be made to allow social distancing between staff and the patients. This will allow us to reduce waiting time for you as well as to reduce the number of patients in the office at any one time.

We are working on rescheduling appointments and we look forward to seeing you soon.

The Coronavirus is on everyone’s mind.
What are we doing?
We have always taken infection control very seriously. In the clinical areas we will continue to follow the CDC & OSHA infection control guidelines by sterilizing all instruments after each patient. All treatment surfaces and chairs will be disinfected with a hospital grade disinfectant. Additionally, every hour we will have one of our staff wipe down all of the doorknobs, pens and check-in counter tops with hospital grade disinfectant.

What we ask of our patients:
We request that all patients use the hand sanitizer that is available in the entryway of our office.
If you have traveled to any country outside of the United States and/or any area that has a high rate of infection (ie China, Hong Kong, Italy, Washington State, etc.) please postpone your appointment for 14 days.
If you have any symptoms of the virus to include fever, cough, or shortness of breath or suspect that you may have has contact with anyone who has the virus, we also ask that you postpone your visit.

We look forward to helping you maintain good oral health throughout this situation and will continue to advise you of any recommendations from the above mentioned organizations.
