This case will forever be one of the most meaningful of my dental career, not simply because of the transformation but because this patient is my dad ❤️
Years of grinding and severe wear had significantly shortened his teeth, changed his smile, and reduced his vertical dimension. My goal was to give him his smile back while preserving as much natural tooth structure as possible. With minimally invasive restorations, rebuilding his bite and implant restorations we were able to restore function, balance and a smile that finally looks like him again.
But the dentistry is only part of why this means so much to me. My dad is someone who gives endlessly to everyone around him, never expecting anything in return. To be able to give him something he has wanted for so long, a new smile and renewed confidence is something I can’t quite put into words. And just look at him… his whole face lights up🥹
If you struggle with bruxism, severe tooth wear, a collapsing bite, sleep-related symptoms, or simply want to feel more confident in your smile, there may still be options. Everyone deserves to smile and feel good doing it.
Cases like this remind me exactly why I chose dentistry- changing lives, restoring confidence, and giving people their smile back is truly my “why.” ❤️🦷
And Dad… seeing you smile like this might just be my favorite before-and-after of all 🥹 Now that we’re done, I guess we’ll have to find something else to do with our Fridays 😂 Also huge shout out to Bob Clark at Williams Dental Lab and SmileTrend for the knowledge, guidance and for helping make this happen 🙌
