As both a pediatric dentist and a dad, Dr. Shah is sharing one thing he doesn’t do when his own child has a loose tooth. 💙

Most parents are surprised by this answer. 👀

Every child is different, though, so if you’re unsure whether your child would benefit from a fluoride mouthwash, ask your pediatric dentist at their next visit!

A great dental experience doesn’t start with perfect teeth—it starts with trust. 💛

When children feel safe, heard, and cared for, they build confidence that lasts far beyond one appointment. At Great Valley Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Shah takes the time to meet every child, turning nervous moments into positive memories, one visit at a time!

Have a little one who’s nervous about the dentist? We’d love to help make their next visit a positive one. 💙

Bad breath after brushing isn’t always caused by dirty teeth. 🪥

It can happen because of:
• Bacteria on the tongue
• Food trapped between teeth
• Not brushing for a full two minutes
• Dry mouth

Sometimes, a few small changes to your child’s brushing routine can make a big difference! 🪥✨

Every parent wants the same thing:
A place where their child feels safe. 🤍

When kids leave smiling, ask when they get to come back, and actually look forward to their dental visits… that’s what we’re here for. Reviews like this remind us why we love what we do every single day. 🦷✨

Healthy teeth are important, but what we’re really building are lifelong habits. 💛

When children grow up feeling safe at the dentist, they’re more likely to grow into adults who don’t avoid taking care of their smile.

Every positive visit helps teach them that caring for their teeth isn’t something to fear. It’s simply part of taking care of themselves!

After brushing, it’s best to spit out the excess toothpaste without rinsing with water. This allows the fluoride to stay on the teeth longer, helping strengthen enamel and protect against cavities.

When is your child REALLY ready to brush completely on their own? 🪥

For many kids, it’s around 7–8 years old, but there’s no magic birthday! What matters most is whether they have the coordination and attention to thoroughly clean all of their teeth on their own. 🦷

Until then, let them practice their independence, but keep supervising and helping with any spots they may have missed. Those healthy habits now can make a BIG difference later! ✨

While we sleep, saliva production naturally decreases, giving our mouths less protection against the bacteria and plaque left behind from the day. 🦷🌙

That’s why those 2 minutes of brushing before bed are SO important for keeping smiles clean, healthy, and protected! 🪥✨

Creating positive, stress-free dental experiences for both kids AND parents is always the goal. Thank you for trusting Dr. Shah and the Great Valley Pediatric Dentistry team with your little ones’ smiles! ✨
