Does your child use an asthma inhaler? Inhalers are an important part of keeping kids healthy, but some can contribute to dry mouth or leave medication behind in the mouth. Encourage your child to rinse with water after using their inhaler to help wash away any residue and give their smile a little extra care. It’s one simple habit that can make a great addition to their everyday routine!

Seeing a new tooth pop up behind a baby tooth can definitely catch parents by surprise! Sometimes a permanent tooth begins coming in before the baby tooth in front of it has fallen out, creating what is often called a “shark tooth.” This is fairly common in growing smiles and doesn’t always mean there’s a problem. If that baby tooth isn’t getting loose or you’re concerned about where the new tooth is coming in, give us a call so we can take a look!
