Dental anxiety is real, and it can look different for everyone. 🦷💙
Fear of pain or needles, past experiences, certain sounds or sensations, or simply feeling like you’re not in control can make a dental appointment feel overwhelming. For some, that anxiety can even lead to putting off the care their smile needs.
A few things that may help:
💙 Talk openly with your dental team about your concerns
💙 Practice deep breathing or other calming techniques
💙 Use distractions or guided imagery
💙 Establish a “pause” signal with your dentist
💙 Ask about options available to make your visit more comfortable
At Bluegrass Dental, we want you to feel heard, comfortable, and supported throughout your visit. Never be afraid to tell us when you’re feeling anxious, we’re here to help you through it!
