“This is another example of a layered restoration technique.

In this case, a freehand restoration is shown where translucency is created using the composite material itself. The logic of the work goes from inside to outside. First, the mamelons are formed, then a translucent layer is placed, followed by a semi-translucent layer, different effects are added, and only after that the entire facial surface is covered with a white composite and finished with another semi-translucent layer.

This is probably one of the rarest techniques I currently use, although it was actually the method I started my restorative work with. The reason is simple - this type of restoration requires enough space. Usually it needs at least 1.5-2 millimeters of additional height. Otherwise the teeth have to be prepared beforehand. Since I prefer to avoid unnecessary tooth preparation whenever possible, I use this approach less frequently.

However, it still remains one of my favorite techniques.”
