Next in our “meet the team” series is dedicated dental assistant, Sydney Crafton. Sydney has filled more than one role at the practice, but has been a chairside assistant for over 2 years now. She is friendly and professional and knows how to brighten your day with her big smile. Her easygoing and relaxed demeanor are sure to help you feel calm and relaxed during any appointment, big or small. She is highly skilled with patient care, including diagnostic radiographs, pre- and post-operative instructions and other patient education. She will walk your through what to expect and make sure you stay comfortable while having all your dental needs met. Thank you, Sydney!
When asked, Sydney tells us her favorite part of the job is: Talking with the patients and establishing a relationship, seeing patients become comfortable coming to the dentist, and seeing the BEFORE and AFTERS!
Her favorite food is: Seafood

“Meet the Team” continues with dazzling dental assistant Crystal Jarratt. Crystal has been with the practice for an impressive 26 years. She is talented and knowledgeable at so many different facets of dentistry. In addition to chairside assisting, Crystal is also an expert in behind-the-scenes lab work. Crystal will also likely be the face you see during your initial visit. She will help Dr. Hawley create a tailored treatment plan to meet your needs and make you feel at home in the dental chair. She’ll treat you like family and maybe tell you a chicken story or two! Thank you for all you do, Crystal!

When asked, Crystal tells us her favorite part of the job is: Lab work such as pouring impressions and making models

Her favorite food is: MEXICAN!

And if she could choose a theme song to play every time she walked into a room it would be: “The Chicken Dance” 😂(actually we chose that for her, and she allowed it because she is a good sport!)

Next up in our meet the team series is Macey Porch. Macey is a registered dental hygienist and has been practicing since 2017. While she is relatively new to our team, she has already had a chance to meet or treat many of you. Her love for dental hygiene and her bubbly personality are what stand out most. She is remarkably knowledgeable and skilled at what she does and cares about her patients’ wellbeing from head (or mouth) to toe! She is happy to treat patients of all ages and is ready to either help you get healthy or to make sure you stay healthy! We’re happy to have you Macey!

When asked, Macey tells us her favorite part of the job is: “PATIENTS! They make my day!”
Her favorite food is: deviled eggs

Meet our most recent addition to the team, Colby Lynch. Colby is a registered dental hygienist and has been working in the dental field for quite some time even prior to receiving her degree in 2022. Colby brings with her a fresh approach and the most up to date dental knowledge. She is highly skilled with both technique and patient education and is pleased to offer preventative therapy as well as periodontal disease therapy. Colby is an Emporia native and a newlywed! We are pleased to have her as part of the team and can’t wait for you to get to know her!
When asked, Colby tells us her favorite part of the job is getting to know her patients and forming that personal relationship. She also likes helping people and seeing improvements in patients’ hygiene habits.
Her favorite food is cheeseburgers—and she did use the plural!
