It’s Invisalign month here at Simister Orthodontics Ely!
What is Invisalign? Invisalign is the clear way to straighten teeth without braces, using aligners. Aligners are removable and virtually invisible, which means you can straighten your teeth without anyone knowing; and you can still eat and drink what you want. Also, you can brush and floss normally to maintain healthy gums and teeth; there are no wires, metal or brackets to cause mouth abrasions. We can do the same thing with Invisalign that we can do with braces and wires! And in most cases, achieve the same amazing finish that we do with brackets. Smile design. Just as a sculptor often sees the final work of art before tackling a block of marble, a beautiful smile begins with a vision of how the final outcome will look. It’s all about smile design. Braces, wires and aligners are simply tools our orthodontists use to create beautiful a work of art....your smile! Call our office today to set up your free consultation 702.241.1223.

Have you ever wondered when you should take your child to the orthodontist? Well, the AAO recommends that a child should be seen by an orthodontist by the time they are about 7 years old. Why so young? Because by this time the permanent molars and some of the front incisors are developing and this allows the orthodontist to evaluate how the other permanent teeth, jaw and face are developing. It also helps to prevent issues as the child grows. Dr. Simister will be in Ely this Friday August 7th. Call and make your appointment today! 702-241-1223

To our new and current patients,
We wanted to provide an update on our situation as it pertains to COVID-19. It is with a lot of thought and consideration that we have decided to close the office temporarily effective Wednesday March 18th through Wednesday April 15th or until further updates are available.

If you have an appointment scheduled on March 27th, 2020, it is now cancelled, and we will be contacting you to reschedule in the upcoming days. For new exams if you are interested in doing a virtual exam tomorrow Friday March 27th please contact Michelle at 702-241-1223 to get that set up.

We have based our decision on the recommendations from the CDC, the American Dental Association, the Nevada Dental Association and numerous health officials. We feel it is our responsibility to help flatten the curve, so it is imperative that we minimize any interactions at this time.

We understand that this is an inconvenience to all of you and we apologize for that. We will continue to communicate with you via email, text or social media dougsimisterorthodontics_ely (Instagram) or dougsimisterorthodonticsely (Facebook) with continued changes or extended closure times as they develop.

If you have any questions or concerns, we can be reached at 702-241-1223 or via email at mailto:[email protected]

We look forward to seeing you again soon!
