From the doctors at Carr Family Dentistry:
Dear Patients, Family and Friends:
We are facing an unprecedented challenge as a community. The CoronaVirus is rapidly spreading, and we are doing everything we can to slow the advance of the virus. The Maryland State Dental Association, along with the American Dental Association, following directions from the CDC and State Health Departments, has paused all dental treatment for weeks, except for the most urgent, life-threatening care. We don’t have a date for resuming normal operations yet.
We want to assure our patients and the community that Carr Family Dentistry has always taken the precautions recommended by the CDC as applied to our profession. We are now waiting for the CDC to determine what is a safe level of Personal Protective Equipment to be able to resume treating the community. Our hygienists, assistants and doctors are always highly trained and strictly follow the steps required by the CDC and we are especially concerned with following future recommendations, when they become available.
We are open for phone consultations, referrals in the case of major infections, and re-appointing current care patients. All preventive care, elective procedures, cosmetic procedures and routine maintenance is being rescheduled. If you have an appointment in April and haven’t been contacted by our team, please reach out with a current phone number so we may assist you.
We anticipate at least another 4 weeks of quarantine for the State of Maryland, while this virus peaks and hopefully starts to recede. Our tentative re-opening dates are in May for now but are subject to change by order of the State Health Department. The CDC and MSDA is being very proactive in keeping us informed on the timing of this closure, but it is still an unknown. If you have an urgent dental need, please call the office in the mornings between 8:30am and 1:00pm and we will stand ready to determine the best course of treatment for you.
It has been our privilege to serve the community for over seven decades. Carr Family Dentistry has always been a trusted name in dental care, and we are ready to meet this challenge. The doctors and hygienists are attending online classes almost daily and are keeping pace with this fast-changing situation. We are looking forward to continuing our tradition of dental excellence for years to come. In the meantime, everyone please stay healthy and we will see you on the other side of this crisis.
