Flu season is right around the corner, and now is a great time to start thinking about keeping your family healthy! 💚

Larissa Diaz, one of our Family Nurse Practitioners specializing in pediatric primary care, has an important reminder for parents and caregivers.

Blount Rural Health Center offers childhood vaccines for patients from 2 months through 18 years of age through the Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program. The program helps provide vaccines to children who are enrolled in Medicaid, uninsured, or underinsured.

We are also offering flu vaccines for children ages 6 months through 18 years. Flu vaccines can be scheduled as a simple nurse visit—just give us a call to find a time that works for your family.

From pediatric and primary care to mental health and dental services, we're proud to care for your family through every stage of life.

📞 Call (270) 265-5600 to learn more about vaccine eligibility or to schedule an appointment.

September is Su***de Prevention Month. 💚

Sometimes the people who are struggling the most are the ones we least expect. A conversation, a check-in, or simply letting someone know they aren't alone can make a difference.

This month, we encourage everyone in our community to take mental health seriously. Check in on your friends. Check in on your family. And don't be afraid to check in on yourself, too.

If you or someone you know is struggling, help is available. Blount Rural Health Center offers mental health services right here in our community, because asking for help should never be something you have to face alone.

📞 Call Blount Rural Health Center at (270) 265-5600 to learn more about our mental health services.

If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis or having thoughts of su***de, call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline. If there is immediate danger, call 911.

You matter. Your mental health matters. And there is help. 💚

We have some exciting news to share from Lexington! 💚👏

On August 27 & 28, Blount Rural Health Center’s Chief Operating Officer, Chelsey Rust, and Community Health Worker, Marianna Sova, are representing BRHC at the Kentucky Association of Community Health Workers Annual Conference.

We are especially proud to announce that Marianna has been named Outstanding Community Health Worker by the Kentucky Association of Community Health Workers! 🎉

Marianna’s dedication to serving others extends far beyond the walls of our health center. She works to connect individuals and families with resources, build relationships throughout Todd County, and help our community achieve better health and wellness.

📸 Pictured is Marianna at the conference with her personally designed poster, “Philippians 4:8 Plus a CHW Equals Better Health Outcomes,” highlighting the connection between mental and physical health and the important role Community Health Workers can play in improving both.

Before another busy week begins, don't forget to make a little time for your health. 💚

Get some rest. Get outside. Move your body. Drink some water. Spend time with people you enjoy. And if there's an appointment you've been putting off, put it on next week's to-do list.
Small choices add up.

Have a healthy and safe weekend from Blount Rural Health Center!

Quick check-in: Have you had enough water today? 💧

Between busy workdays, school schedules, and summer heat, it's easy to forget about staying hydrated.

Keep water nearby throughout the day, drink regularly, and remember that your needs may increase when you're spending time outside or being physically active.

Consider this your reminder to grab a glass of water! 💚

When was your last checkup? 🩺

It's easy to put off a routine visit when you're feeling well—but preventive care is an important part of staying well.

Regular checkups are an opportunity to talk with your provider, keep up with recommended screenings, and address concerns before they become bigger problems.

If it's been a while, give us a call and get back on the schedule.
