About the Doctor
Dr. Omar Arshad graduated and earned his DMD from Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry in May 2011. After graduation, he worked as an associate in the Midwest region for eleven years before acquiring Northeast Family Dental Care from Dr. William Galanes in October 2022. Dr. Arshad looks forward to continuing the excellent patient care that Dr. Galanes has served to the Elgin community and beyond. Dr. Arshad places an emphasis on patient comfort, as well as keeping up to date with the latest advancements in dentistry to allow him to provide patients with the highest quality of care. He has a wide range of experience in different areas of dentistry, from cosmetic and restorative dentistry, to dental implants and endodontics. Dr. Arshad continues to support his post-doctoral education via seminars, continuing education courses, and local/online study clubs. When Dr. Arshad is not at the office, he is spending time with his wife and two sons. Dr. Arshad enjoys sports (basketball, football, skiing), brazilian jiu jitsu, and is a passionate Philadelphia sports fan.

We’re excited to share an important new development happening here at Northeast Family Dental Care in Elgin!

Dr. Arshad has always believed that serving our community means more than providing excellent dental care—it also means creating opportunities for education, growth, and career advancement right here at home.

To help meet the growing need for trained dental assistants in our area, Dr. Arshad has partnered with Accelerated Academy, a 10-week dental assisting program that will be launching inside our office.

This program gives students the opportunity to gain hands-on clinical experience in a real dental office setting—without relocating or committing to years of traditional schooling. It’s practical,focused, and designed to help students enter the workforce quickly and confidently.

Classes will be held on Fridays, ensuring that our regular patient care schedule remains uninterrupted while students benefit from real-world training in an active practice environment. Summer 2026 enrollment is now open, and early bird discounts are currently available for a limited time.

In honor of his beloved Eagles winning the Super Bowl, Dr. Arshad celebrated with the team today. Despite the snowy weather outside, we enjoyed a great lunch after the big win on Sunday. Thanks to the entire team for showing their support and wearing Eagles green for the day!
