Cold weather continues, so let’s indulge in this yummy winter treat…and guess what?! Hot cocoa isn’t so bad for your teeth!

Watch out for too much sugar (make it at home with honey?), but dark chocolate and milk can be beneficial for your teeth!

🍫 Dark Chocolate:
-antioxidants can reduce risk of tooth decay and gum disease
-tannins can reduce bacteria and plaque buildup on teeth
-theobromine may strengthen tooth enamel

🥛 Milk:
-calcium strengthens teeth
-casein protects enamel
-neutralizes acids on teeth from other foods and drinks
-stimulates saliva production which keeps teeth cleaner

So if it’s a chilly day, some hot cocoa may be in order! ☕️
