Happy Fathers Day!

Of all the titles I’ve earned throughout my life, the one I’m most proud of is Dad.

This Father’s Day, I’m reflecting on the incredible blessing of having two sons who have grown into successful, humble, and kind men.

Yesterday, Daniel graduated from his Psychiatry Residency. He was one of only seven residents in the prestigious UCLA program and was honored as Chief Resident by his peers and faculty. Watching him continue a family legacy of medicine and healthcare fills me with immense pride.

My other son, Dr. Mike, graduated from dental school during the challenging COVID year of 2020 and has become an accomplished dentist dedicated to caring for his patients every day. He’s also my favorite dentist.

What I appreciate most is that our relationship has evolved beyond father and son. Mike has become one of my most trusted advisors. I often bounce ideas off him and value his perspective immensely. He’s my focus group of one, and more often than not, his advice is spot on.

When my boys were born, they gave me purpose. Today, they continue to inspire me with the men they have become.

Success is wonderful. Awards are meaningful. But kindness, humility, integrity, and a desire to serve others are what matter most.

To my sons: Thank you for making me proud every day. Being your father is the greatest honor of my life.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, grandfathers, and father figures who help shape the next generation.
