"Dr. Jeff, my teeth feel loose!" 😳

Believe it or not, that's often a sign your treatment is working.

Orthodontic treatment moves teeth by stimulating the bone around them to remodel. As this happens, it's normal for teeth to feel slightly mobile. Once they reach their new positions, the bone rebuilds and stabilizes them.

So if your teeth feel kind of wiggly during treatment, don't panic; we expect it!

Of course, if you experience severe pain, an injury, or a tooth suddenly feels much looser than before, give our office a call.

Heading to the pool this summer? ☀️🏊

If you wear clear aligners, don't forget to take them out before jumping in.

Chlorinated pool water can discolor or damage aligners and may affect their fit.

A little extra care goes a long way toward protecting your appliance and keeping your treatment on track all summer long. 😎

Do crooked baby teeth automatically mean braces later? Not necessarily 👀

Parents are often surprised to learn that when it comes to kids, jaw growth is more important than the position of baby teeth.

In fact:
✔️ Small gaps between baby teeth can actually be a good thing
✔️ Crooked baby teeth don’t always mean crooked permanent teeth
✔️ Certain bite and jaw concerns are easier to address while kids are still growing
