Mandibular tori are harmless, bony growths on the inside of the lower jaw (mandible), usually under the tongue, that are benign and non-cancerous, often appearing on both sides and developing mostly due to genetics. They are typically asymptomatic but can become uncomfortable if they interfere with eating, speaking, or denture placement, requiring surgical removal if bothersome.
